The architecture of the system is the foundation of all IT solutions. Currently, the switch to service oriented architectures means a big challenge for organizations and IT. With the concept of Adaptive Enterprise Computing, OPITZ CONSULTING assists you in the implementation of forward-looking architectures.

New organizational and IT solutions have to be characterized by transparency and flexibility in order to be quickly and safely adaptable to changing business models. Frequently, the recent business processes and their supporting IT are not sufficiently documented and the applications themselves resemble “functional stovepipes”. Costs and timing cannot be estimated reliably; neither can system changes be carried out rapidly. Hence, in order to ensure information technology as an enabler of business, it is our objective to develop new system architectures that can be gradually implemented in our existing system platforms.

Adaptive Enterprise Computing extends the service-oriented approach (SOA) by adding elements of Business Process Management (BPM) and a service oriented infrastructure (SOI). In the architectural draft of Adaptive Enterprise Computing, these three stages (process management, application systems and IT infrastructure) form a unit. They enable the description of individual areas as well as the visualization of the continuity from business process to application. The transparent plan and documentation of systems allows the introduction of changing processes in time and budget.
